The following cartoon was inspired by a survivor advocate challenging the representative of ACC during a meeting in Christchurch.
John Prince was so kind to send me this cartoon. You can see more of his paintings by going to this art website

Hi Castor-Girl, thanks for the acknowledgement. Fighting for something I am passionate about may take a lot of time and can be very exhausting - (hence the very few new posts about other interesting topics) but it is also very rewarding.
ACC has agreed to postpone the new 'Rules' until the 12th of October. That gives us the opportunity to bring forward our ideas of what we thing would be best for survivors of sexual abuse.
Time will tell whether we can shape some better policies. >>>>>>All survivors can help by letter ACC know how they feel and how much they have gained from counselling so far.<<<<<<<<<<

On the best of days, I'm a timid survivor mouse. I'd like to thank you and all of those who are advocating for victims of CSA regarding the proposed ACC changes. Just hearing the news about the proposed changes was enough to start a cycle of negative thinking and feelings of worthlessness.
Thank you and take care,
